About Michael Schoonover
Michael brings over 28 years of experience in property management, development, acquisition and disposition. He focus’s his practice on vacant land and commercial buildings. Through active participation in the National Council of Exchangers he has successfully negotiated 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges for numerous clients of investment properties in their portfolios. These experiences have given him a wide range of knowledge and experiences to draw from when counseling clients or coaching other Brokers and Agents. As an instructor/speaker for Washington Realtors®, REBAC and the Realtors® Land Institute, Michael has presented classes and given keynote addresses around the country and at several National Conventions. He recently co wrote and developed the Certified Military Relocation Specialist© certification and authored the PRIMETIME© Time Management and Business Planning Program.Joining the RE/MAX Honors Team, with all of the resources available through RE/MAX Commercial, plus the diverse strengths and experience of the leadership team made excellent sense. Michael is excited to help coach both the current and future brokers in the company to discover the vast resources available, help them with the integration of the programs that fit both their personal style and business plans, and celebrate with them as they achieve greater levels of success.Michael has been recognized by his peers as, Washington State Commercial Broker of the Year, Educator of the Year, Land Broker of the Year and in 2013 received the National Commercial Award from the National Association of REALTORS.In April of 2013 Michael was honored to be elected as the Washington REALTORS 2014 State President Elect and will become the State President in January 2015Specialties: Land Sales and Acquisitions, Commercial Investment Real Estate, Educator and Speaker on Land Development, Marketing and Brokerage.
