TDIST are a distributor for desktop virtualisation solutions based around thin & zero clients. My role as Technical Services Manager is to work with our channel partners and their end customers in the pre-technical sales of our products. I often work with end users in choosing the right product or products based on their requirement, and also assist in the setup for proof of concept environments to ensure the best setup for the whole solution.

My role as Technical Director had a very broad role. I was responsible for working with our hardware partners, which involves both testing and approving their hardware, working with our software developers for testing and approving our Linux operating system & management software. I was also responsible for developing our own Windows Embedded Standard 7 images.From a customer perspective, I supported our resellers with product familiarisation & training, but I also provided pre & post sales technical support to their customers. I have helped project manage thin client installations on customer sites with install bases in excess of 5000 users.During this time, I built up a good knowledge base for VDI technologies from Microsoft, Citrix & VMware.
