Paul is Head of Production at Common Films – a film production company working exclusively with researchers and research-led organisations. He has fifteen years’ experience making films across science, medicine, humanities and the arts. His clients have included Nature, the Science Museum, the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, Oxford University, and Imperial College London.He’s also an award-winning writer and medical historian. His critically acclaimed debut book, SPARE PARTS: A Surprising History of Transplants was Daily Mail Book of the Week, mentioned in the Independent’s Books of the Month, and won the Special Commendation in the Royal Society of Literature Giles St Aubyn Awards.As a broadcaster, Paul is a regular panelist on BBC Radio 4’s BEST MEDICINE and frequently appears as an expert in the history of medicine, internationally (BBC, NPR, Monocle, Newstalk, ABC). He is a regular keynote and public speaker on the history of medicine and surgery.Paul is Honorary Professor of the History of Surgery & Society at University College, London, and a Science Museum Group Senior Research Associate.
