Acquired by VMware....We transitioned our company, which initially operated in a competitive space known as converged infrastructure, away from perpetual licensing and on-premises software (hardware-agnostic) towards becoming a true SaaS company. When I joined, the company had already been in existence for a decade, and as the saying goes, "when you enter a saturated market, you must either be significantly superior or remarkably more cost-effective." The board brought me on board with the mission of guiding the company's transformation into a SaaS entity. This transformation involved an intensive 18-month development phase, during which the majority of our 100 engineers were engaged in creating a genuine Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution, which eventually became the basis of our acquisition. Our team was composed of exceptional individuals (5 talented/proven founders), and the technology we employed was the best I've encountered in my career. However, initially, our focus was on addressing a competitive market. Achieving comprehensive data center application disaster recovery is a formidable challenge, but we were able to succeed due to the founder's deep-rooted vision and the solid foundation of our codebase. If we had undertaken this shift earlier, the company could have been a game-changer, but we were fortunate to make this transition just as the impact of COVID-19 was beginning to intensify.

With the increasing number of social and digital channels, customers have more options and control than ever. But most large companies are not prepared for this complexity. A new class of enterprise software that helps employees across the front office come together and engage with customers through one unified platform. With Sprinklr, brands can truly know their customers – not as data points, but as people. With deeper, richer context across touchpoints, organizations can seamlessly craft meaningful experiences customers will want to share with others. As the Chief Operating Officer of Sprinklr, I helped the social enterprise software company connect its internal functions and scale an operational model necessary to support Sprinklr’s growth.

I was a founding member of a select group of five individuals who initiated the company's journey. From the outset, I assumed leadership of the sales division, spearheading an extraordinary growth trajectory that witnessed the company's expansion from ground zero to an impressive $2 billion and beyond in just five years. This rapid ascent was characterized by an exceptional year-over-year growth rate.My role extended to formulating the Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy for multiple facets of the organization, including Sales, Pre-Sales, Channels, OEM, and Indirect groups. I took on the responsibility of assembling a global team, progressively increasing our workforce from a single individual over 800 employees. In tandem, I established legal entities and operational structures in more than 50 countries to facilitate our worldwide operations.Furthermore, I adapted and expanded the organizational framework to accommodate the evolving needs of our burgeoning business. • Emc
From Sales Rep To Global Evp
    Emc Jun 1997 - Jan 2010
    Hopkinton, Ma, Us
I was privileged to become part of EMC during its early stages. Prior to that, I had spent several years in the software industry, so joining EMC marked my first foray into the hardware sector. What intrigued me most about the company were the remarkable individuals it recruited and its unwavering commitment to achieving victory through 2 market downturns and changes in strategy.Over the course of more than a decade, I took on various roles at EMC. I began as an individual contributor, drawing on my previous experience in startups. I was fortunate to be tasked with revitalizing several areas within the company that were either new or facing challenges. These included directing several direct sales efforts, managing channels, overseeing global dot-comms, growing out industry verticals (such as oil and gas, Healthcare, State and Local Govt, Aerospace and Defense, etc, handling OEM relationships, and building alliances for both selling to and through partners. In each of these cases, I had the opportunity to lead teams and witness these initiatives grow from mere concepts to generating billions of dollars in revenue. My journey at EMC eventually led me to depart in 2010 (where I had ended as an EVP), when I took on the role of CRO VCE. At that time, VCE was merely a concept, but I took charge of sales operations, steering the company to achieve over $2 billion in revenue. Subsequently, I returned to my early operational roots by assuming the position of Chief Operating Officer managing over 3500 people.
