I expanded my knowledge of inbound best practices through implementation and strategy via the HubSpot CRM. I reported to the Inbound Marketing Lead and supported the Inbound premier services team to improve client relations, inbound strategy, campaign implementation and reporting for 20+ clients. I aided in everything from new client onboarding to executing and reporting on strategic email, content and social campaigns. The skills I learned in this position gave me an understanding of the unique challenges B2B companies face and how marketing strategy and automation can solve them.

As the Social Content Specialist, I planned April Cornell's social media content strategy to align with the seasonal marketing plan. The content calendar I created for Facebook & Instagram, mirrored the email marketing and promotional ecommerce strategies. I also created and published additional content, such as detailed textile images, season & collection previews, live & edited videos, blog posts, and giveaways to engage April Cornell's audience. In addition to social content, I helped the ecommerce manager with the seasonal content plan and with various merchandising tasks on aprilcornell.com. I also managed our affiliate marketing channel. This was my first experience with affiliate marketing and I learned how this channel influences traffic and sales.

During my time at the gallery, I managed social media content creation and scheduling via Hootsuite.com. I also created and managed SEM and social advertising campaigns for each gallery exhibit via Google AdWords and Facebook Ad Manager. I managed the gallery's Google Analytics account and used it in conjunction with Google AdWords to track and find the ROI of all paid advertising efforts. I conducted monthly paid advertising reports for the Gallery Director so that he could adjust the advertising budget accordingly.

I conducted wine tastings of Shelburne Vineyard's entire list of wine. I also interacted and sold wine to guests and ensured that they had the best experience possible at Shelburne Vineyard.

I promote bands and comedians that are clients of The Syndicate at local companies, college campuses, and venues.

In this position, I helped Rod Shedd design a new website for his business Vine to Wine Concierge with WordPress.org. I also developed a marketing plan with recommendations for his website and potential future marketing campaigns. I adjusted his SEO strategy by creating, editing, and redesigning content for the new website. I used HTML to supplement where WordPress widgets and plugins had limitations. From there, I worked with a few classmates to help Rod implement Google Analytics and set up a Google AdWords account. We then set up and A/B tested a few search and display ad campaigns. We also collected an email list via an embedded call to action on the new website. Once we gathered the list, we developed and sent an email advertising campaign to announce the new website and what potential leads can look forward to from Vine to Wine Concierge.

In this position, I learned how to use an espresso machine! On top of this awesome life skill, I was also able to improve my customer service skills. I worked in a fast-passed environment catering to hungry and caffeine-deprived consumers. This allowed me to experience working under pressure and to further my understanding of how the food industry operates.

I created content for Gardener's Supply's Pureplay pilot programs, MyPotsandPlanters.com and RaisedBeds.com. I designed Facebook posts for both websites along with managing both Pinterest accounts. Additionally, I created a Wordpress gardening blog for both companies. I also tracked customer product reviews on spreadsheets for both companies, while tracking their customer involvement through Facebook analytics.

I researched ways to effectively market the Club on campus through events. I also designed informative promotional posters to attract new club members and to increase event participation.

In this position, I learned how to sell high-end beauty products to customers. I was taught how to approach the customers organically, as well as how to advise them through our line of products. I learned how to seal the deal and make the sale. Every employee had daily, weekly and monthly sales goals. This job taught me a lot about retail sales and marketing and the importance of being knowledgeable about the products you are selling.

This position taught me a lot about customer service and how to interact with a diverse customer base.
