I'm an investigative reporting fellow with ProPublica's Local Reporting Network. During my fellowship I've investigated guns and domestic violence in Tennessee, as well as juvenile justice. My reporting from the fellowship has been recognized by IRE and the Livingston Awards.

I report on criminal justice for Middle Tennessee's NPR station. My work focuses on guns, domestic violence and juvenile justice, and I'm especially passionate about telling stories that illuminate how policies impact real people in Tennessee.

I report breaking, enterprise and investigative stories on health, the drug epidemic and criminal justice. I have developed a network of sources on my beat, and am constantly pitching stories with new and innovative angles. My work centers around how public health impacts people. Building trust with sources is at the core of my reporting, and that trust has gotten me exclusive stories and scoops. In addition to reporting for WOSU, I contribute regularly to midwestern public health collaborative Side Effects News, as well as Here & Now, and NPR.

I reported on health, science, and gender for The Washington Post, NPR, Marketplace, Atlas Obscura, WHYY's The Pulse and Here & Now. I traveled to Puerto Rico to cover how farmers in rural areas were recovering from Hurricane Maria for PRI's The World. I was an audio producer on Vox's daily podcast, Today, Explained.

As a producer and reporter I researched, pitched and reported health, science and innovation stories, many of which also appeared on national outlets like Here & Now, Weekend Edition, and The Washington Post. I audio edited the majority of The Pulse's radio show and podcast. I researched, booked and cut interviews. I produced our web content, coded, took and edited photos, and created multimedia content. I ran the show's social media presence, placed ads on social and planned events to help the show connect with our audience.

As the digital news intern, I researched, pitched and reported stories for NPR.org. I assisted with web production for national radio stories, fact-checked web content and assisted with multimedia editing.

Ann Arbor, Michigan

As an intern at Michigan Radio, I pitched and reported daily news spots and features for on air and online. I assisted with the Hearken project, M I Curious. I helped with events and occasionally social media. I learned codings skills and developed my photography portfolio.

I created the Detroit Arts Column for the Daily to highlight the positive and creative artistic movements that are happening downtown. I pitched, reported and photographed for my bi-weekly column.

Greater Nashville Area, Tn

As an intern in the features department, I pitched and reported feature content for The Tennessean's print and online editions, including a front page story. My work was also picked up by USA Today.

As an editorial and web intern at Hour Detroit I pitched and reported stories for the print magazine and the website. I also worked with the web team to assist in coding web content.

I read and reviewed submitted works to determine whether or not they were publishable.
