Progress Park Laminate OperationsAs a Manufacturing/RCI (Rapid Continuous Improvement) Engineer, I lead high-impact initiatives to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.Key responsibilities Include:- Project Leadership: Leading a company leadership implemented project aimed at optimizing production processes, with a primary focus on increasing unit capacity & overall department efficiency.- Process Optimization: Overhauling the entire assembly area layout, relocating production lines, installing new equipment (Lantech Tunnel Wrapper, Orion Stretch Wrapper, Hytrol Conveyors, etc.), automate key conveyor lines, & expand key facilities (bathrooms and parking lot) to accommodate additional personnel for first shift operations.- Engineering Expertise: Create and update CAD layout files, develop 3D drawings, & ensure seamless installation of machinery, minimizing production disruption and address emergent problems swiftly to ensure project milestones are met on time.- Project Management: Coordinate weekly cross-functional team meetings, maintain and update Gantt charts, manage project finances, and act as the primary contact for leadership, project members, and vendors.- Budget and Vendor Relations: Oversee project budgeting, conduct vendor relations, and represent the company in Functional Analysis Tests at vendor sites and other phases of the project.- Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI): Plan, schedule, & ensure the completion of RCI events based on factory needs, while monitoring the progress of ongoing and upcoming projects.- Training & Certification: Coordinate and facilitate training for team members to achieve Business Process Improvement certifications (Bronze, Silver, Gold), ensuring alignment with the company’s goal of having all members Bronze certified.- Product Change Management: Manage communication regarding product change requests submitted by staff, ensuring updates are received and acted upon promptly.
