Born, raised, and based in St. Paul, MN, I am deeply rooted in tradition and culture, especially as a Hmong-American woman. My parents, as immigrants, have significantly shaped my understanding of hard work and empathy, which profoundly influences my outlook on life.My passion for food blossomed while participating in farmers' markets across Minnesota, where I learned the value of wholesome, homegrown vegetables alongside my mom. These experiences have taught me that food is not just nourishment but a powerful form of communication. As Nandini Goswami, Director of Corporate Communications at Kellogg India, eloquently stated, "Food functions symbolically as a means to communicate...to understand cultures, habits, rituals, and traditions."
