Agri Commodities Trader

- Bulk Wheat marketing into South East Asia.- Trading domestic grain markets for the company, including Cash and Track.- Grain merchandising, domestic and export.- Compile and manage commodity positions.- Ensure professional business relationships with both suppliers and service providers.- Formulate buy/sell strategies basis global market scenarios.- Direct logistics team to ensure efficient management of supply chain.- Explore emerging markets for sales opportunities and continually seek opportunities to maximize value to business as well customers with the incorporation of risk management tools.- Ensure compliance to organization’s reporting procedures.- Manage contract executions, including deliveries of physical commodities.

Job Description: • In partnership with the company's promoter, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services as Agri Commodities Trading company.• Identify demand trends and evolving markets that may support the success of the business • Identify major customer concerns and suggest incremental improvements in the established delivery model • Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization's promoters, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders with regard to the company's vision, opportunities, and challenges • Achieve a consistent sales growth and profitability year on year • Gaining competitive intelligence and strengthening company offerings • Improving Sales and marketing processes in the organization • Designing and implementing business plan, trade strategies. • Generating and enhancing long term relations with customers across all levels.Key Responsibilities:• Start up and implementation of agreed business model to trade and export Agri Commodities.• Implementing the business plan.• Independently plan/manage trade and execution strategies.• Collect and analyse industry info/trends to facilitate effective decision making.• Ensuring adherence to obligatory laws with relation to export compliance.• Ensuring all monetary risks are hedged using available tools and structure in line with company policies.• Implementing Training support to Team Members.• Achieving consistent growth through different products in line with the overall strategy of the Company.• Maintain Competitive Superiority. • Maintain healthy relationship with vendors, suppliers and financial institutions.• Generate and Strengthen relationships with new and existing customers.• Ensure quality of business – unique, niche and committed offerings.• Streamlining systems and processes.• Creating and adhering to benchmarks• Assisting with regular cashflow planning.

- Active participation in planing and managing trade execution strategies.- Independently plan/manage annual export program.- Assist trading manager with purchase planing.- Inventory Management - track and trace all booked/purchased stock movements.- Contract Costing- Coordinate and cost effectively manage execution of movement of grain and pulses against vendor contracts.- Container Logistics - inland and aboard.- Overlook export documentation.- Key role in negotiating and reviewing freight rates: sea and land.- Negotiation, preparation and execution of vendor contracts.- Accountable for timely execution of purchase contracts ensuring all clauses are taken care of.- Establish working relationship between key stakeholders, management, finance and operational teams.- Review expediting schedules on all customer orders. Plan, coordinate, obtain and forward information to sales teams.- Expedite all critical orders with local subcontract vendors.- Coordinate export as well as import consignments in line with government agency requirements.- Arrange transportation and forwarding services for all orders to ensure material is delivered as per schedule.- Responsible for reviewing import customs duty, including certification and verification, drawback, and compliance with governmental agencies.- Liaises with custom brokers for updated reporting procedures and valuations.
