As VP of R&D I directed the development of a novel method to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea with an open-loop multi-contact, multi-channel, implantable neurostimulation system. Working without the need for sensing respiration this system is able to maintain a patent airway all night long and provide critical help to patients suffering from this devastating disease.

Advanced Bionics was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2004 and formed the basis of the neuromodulation division of Boston Scientific.
