Objective: Develop and deploy an eCommerce platform for selling and shipping sunglasses nationwide.Challenges: Integrate payment APIs to automate the billing process, and delivery APIs for better freight management.Technologies Used: Java 21 with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Web MVC. Use of Spring Data PostgreSQL and Spring Data JPA to facilitate database interactions. Implementation of Spring Security JWT to ensure transaction security. Conducting unit tests using jUnit and Mockito. API documentation with the help of Swagger. Source code management on GitLab, application deployment and hosting on Render and Vercel. Using Git for code versioning. Adoption of agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, through GitLab, to make the development process more efficient. Use of Docker for creating and managing containers, ensuring simplified and standardized deployment.
