The CBO Collective is a partnership between 16 community-based organizations across Chicago. In 2019, ahead of employer demand, this group coalesced to support more inclusive hiring efforts. The intended impact of the Collective is to springboard Black and Brown job seekers from underserved, underrepresented, and disinvested Chicago communities into gainful employment. As Project Manager, provide management and facilitation of the CBO Collective employer and placement activities. Collaborate with Executive Director as a strategic thought leader working to advance the mission and build the capacity of the CBO Collective.

Lead a Community Based Organization in Chicago's Southland Region providing services to undeserved populations including at-promise youth, low-income adults and the elderly.

Develop and maintain relationships with potential funders that will lead to increased agency funding. Coordinate and implement Job Readiness Assistance for participants within the St. Sabina Strong Futures Program at in collaboration with Strong Future case managers/mentors.

In 2007 wrote a grant proposal and was awarded 300K to provide employment, educational and entrepreneurial training to unemployed or under-employed adults, at-risk youth, ex-offenders, homeless, and Dislocated Worker populations.

Market and manage workforce development employment and training programs including Manufacturing Careers Internship Program (MCIP), Opportunity Works, 1000 Jobs II, and Strengthening Working Families Initiative (SWIFI). Develop outreach and recruitment strategies, coordination of trainings, schedules, orientation, intake/assessment, enrollment of new students, placement and follow-up. Create individual grant budgets and monitor monthly spending of non-personnel costs. Assist Director with the preparation and submission of reports according to funder requirements and the negotiation and execution of contracts with subcontractors and other program partners.

Oversee employment placement and facilitate program initiatives of the Health ProfessionsOpportunity Grant (HPOG) funded by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Assistparticipants who have completed training with transitioning into job search activities. Developed employment opportunities in the healthcare field as required by grant - exceeded placement goals. Monitored retention efforts for employed participants and ensured input into HPOG Performance Reporting System (PRS).

Conducted recruitment activities to prospective students using company leads and personally developed leads to screen prospective students and determine eligibility for vocational training programs. Worked closely with Dislocated Workers and WIA funded agencies to obtain TAA and other education vouchers as well as assist Veterans with obtaining military benefits including Post 911, Montgomery GI Bill, and Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP).
