With the combination of my degree, Bachelors Of Interdisciplinary Studies in Clinical Health Informatics and trauma registries, I have worked in the clinical and non clinical areas for 28 years in the healthcare field, 22 years as a Trauma Registry Professional/Consultant, PI Coordinator and currently as Lead Trauma Registrar Consultant. My main goal is to help optimize the quality of healthcare, improve the healthcare of patients, assist with Trauma facilities to acquire or maintain ACS Trauma hospital verification or reverification of Trauma hospitals, making sure the integrity of data is true, HIPAA compliant, as well as providing pertinent data to help improve the outcomes of patients. I work very closely the administration, directors, managers, physicians, nurses to discuss processes, improvements and implementations to make their Trauma Program succeed. I am knowledgeable in the fields of CDI, data abstraction, reporting ,statistics, data analysis and performance improvement within Trauma systems. Trauma is my passion, from all aspects, from what trauma does mentally, physically to the body and economically. I provide the necessary data to help providers and different hospital entities to promote positive outcomes as well as their outreach programs for which they serve in the community to their patients once they leave the hospital. I am highly motivated, dependable and will get the job done! Everyday I continue to learn something new in the healthcare field and the world trauma and will continue to contribute the knowledge and education that I have acquired to any organization.We, the Trauma Registry Professionals are the roots of the Trauma program!I successfully passed the CSTR exam on January, 12, 2024.

Discussed with the trauma committee what performance improvements are to be met and as well as exceed expectations according to the Tennessee State Trauma Program and the American College of Surgeons-orange book, the type of data to be tracked and to ensure the physicians had ATLS and for the nurses to participate in TNCC as well as other educational needs and proper credentials . As of October 2016, SRMC, was designated as a Provisional Level lll Trauma Center, in which the state will come back in one year to designated them as a Level lll trauma center. Show less -
