I was there in the beginning when coaching was an emerging field. Now, two decades later I am even more passionate about the profound power of coaching. I am proud to lead the Hudson Institute, a coaching organization that develops great leaders, ones who make a difference in the lives of others at all levels in an organization. I’ve always had an interest in human development and studying what it takes for a person to be at their best in good as well as challenging times. My interest began as a practicing clinical psychologist and has evolved into the field of leadership coaching. At Hudson, I work with leaders who want to succeed in today’s workplace and be their best for the people they lead. Coaching provides a leader with an opportunity to press the pause button and discern what new areas of development might serve them.I view coaching as neither a problem-solving technique nor a ‘tell and fix’ approach to leadership development. Instead, I believe this approach provides an opportunity for leaders to identify small changes that will allow them to lead at their very best. Coaching is about change and change is challenging territory for the best of us. What I have experienced is that coaching has a powerful impact, touching leaders at all levels in an organization. When I step away from work you can find me in my kitchen cooking, outside enjoying nature, and spending time with family and friends. I love to travel the world, exploring and experiencing other cultures, customs and foods. Most recently I traveled to Spain, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
