I provide grants management at both proposal and post-award stage for several projects and cost centers at one of Tennessee's largest medical centers. I manage timely and accurate proposal prep and submission as well as providing financial management of awarded funds and guiding compliance efforts for research teams. I develop budgets for projects and assist research faculty with projecting out anticipated expenses to ensure that costs remain on target throughout the life of the project. I review and approve financial transactions, including purchases, contracts, invoices, and other payments for accuracy and compliance. I reconcile accounts under each sponsored project, ensuring that the finances are compliant and that the institution maintains documentation in accordance with terms and conditions of the funding and applicable laws. I assist with clinical pricing and budgeting and establishing clinical trials under both federal grants and industry funding.

I draft, review and negotiate contract agreements, most frequently for clinical trials. I am experienced with both industry sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials and the specific language requirements for each. I also work with government and foundation funded research agreements, and apply my more than ten years of research administration field experience to analysis and negotiation of terms.

Assisted with the Maternal and Child Health Division's program "Coordinated School Health" for Tennessee School Children (in collaboration with the TN Department of Education). Also contributed to the annual application for the Maternal and Child Health Block Grant that funded the Division.

The last (and longest) assignment was to the Tennessee State Attorney General's Office, Division of Law Enforcement and Special Prosecutions, where I served as a legal secretary, reviewing depositions for upcoming cases.
