I'm a skilled writer, editor, and educator with 35+ years of experience. Currently I serve as a member of the cross-division Grants Team at Texas Lutheran University, working with partners in Development and Finance as well as faculty and staff across the university to craft grant proposals that support the institution. In 2023, the Grants Team and university partners earned a $2.89 million Title V grant for TLU. I'm also the author of a novel, Little Lost River (University of Nevada Press), shortlisted for the Paterson Prize in Fiction and chosen as one of the "Best Books of 2008" by the San Antonio Express-News. My writing has appeared in Huff Post, Scary Mommy, and The Chronicle of Higher Education, among others. My blog, She Dwells in Possibility, offers original content targeted to women over 40. Storytelling is an integral part of writing grant narratives and engaging copy, so my skills in this area offer benefits across the board.I'm also a care partner for my husband, Mike, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2018.
