Some skills that I have are that I am proficient in Java and JavaScript. I am also in the progress of learning Python on my own. I also have proficient skills in English and Chinese, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Photoshop, MATLAB and Debugging. I've also had my fair share of job experiences such as working as a lifeguard at my local pool for the pool company Pool Personnel. The job included observing and managing the pool, being CPR certified, as well as monitoring and handling chemicals. I've also worked at Coldstone Creamery. The tasks at Coldstone Creamery involve lots of teamwork and communication between coworkers, handling and managing money, and interaction with customers. I have also volunteered at both Technica and BitCamp where it involved communication between other volunteers and interactions with hackers. Some leadership roles I have held are being a Junior Officer my freshman year in a student organization named Taiwanese American Student Association. This position involved being a committee head for one of our biggest events of the year, which entailed a lot of planning and communication to get performances, scheduling and volunteers to run smoothly. I am also the Asian American Student Union Representative for the Taiwanese American Student Association, which involves lots of communication between my organization and other organizations of the Asian American Pacific Islander community, as well as planning for events.
