In this National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored Research Experience for Undergrads (REU), I worked on a project dealing with emotion recognition from facial skin color. We used machine learning algorithms (including k-nearest neighbors, support vector machines, and locally weighted regression) to try and infer the emotional state of a human being based.

I worked for Dr. Alex Aiken's research group in Stanford University as an intern in the Army High Performance Computing Research Center. I implemented sorting algorithms for an experimental high level language that was created by Dr. Aiken's group.
