- Manage all aspects of complex contracts for large-scale projects like buildings, roads, bridges, water, sewerage drainage, street lighting, structures, electrical and mechanical services etc. in the capacity of Employer’s Representative (Supervision consultant) administering commercial aspects of construction contracts. Monitor, evaluate, and forecast project statuses against schedules in an effort to ensure on-time, on-budget completion. Manage a team of 4 Project Quantity Surveyors and a site supervision team in completing verification/ certification of contractor’s applications for payment. - Review and assess contractor’s claims and counter-claims specific to time/ cost in liaison with the Resident Engineer, Director of Contracts, and Planning Manager. Identify and/ or forensically review contractor’s rates for new items/ star rates. Work to ensure mutual agreements specific to critical contractual issues without having to refer matters to dispute resolution. - Prepare budgets, estimates, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports in an effort to inform and influence key decision-making processes. - Direct tender processes for variation works, examine and analyze tenders, conduct negotiations and prepare tender reports recommending tender awards, based on project requirements and the directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors. - As part of a change management committee, establish robust cost preparation, monitoring, and reporting protocols for specialized packages of contracts. Liaise, consult, and communicate with the project team, consultants, and client to prepare financial feasibility study of the change.- Contributed to the development of the corporate “Post-Contract Management Manual” (under management review) drafting a chapter outlining the duties of the Contractor, Engineer, and Employer as well as appropriate records to be kept on-site to fulfill obligations.
