My research is focused on analyzing mental health data from former veterans to try to combat the high suicide rate within patients diagnosed with PTSD.Responsibilities:• Developing patient dashboard with landing pages, login pages, and online chat-box tool using React.• Developing intuitive and user-oriented charts to display user data and performance using Chart.js.• Implementing server-side REST API and data protocol for web app logic.• Handle CRUD API requests to a NoSQL database created and hosted on Firebase• Package website into a mobile application with added functionalities including bluetooth connectivity to smartwatch, data transfer, and data storage using React Native.• Analyzing patient data to detect patterns and peak stress intervals in activities that lead to high stress rates.

• Created new GraphQL services built on MongoDB to replace existing REST APIs using Apollo GraphQL, Serverless and AWS Lambda• Reduced query response time by 33% and number of api calls by 50%.• Re-architect authentication and REST API structure of the backend system to add support for multiple corporate clients.

BR3W is a smart coffee machine that bridges customizability and convenience. We are building a coffee machine from scratch that has the capability to have customizable settings that are controlled through a mobile application.Responsibilities:• Coded the backend of the mobile app which involves communication to the microcontroller in the coffee machine through Wi-Fi/Bluetooth for data and command transfer.• Coded the frontend on the app on areas like animations, navigation, and styling.Tools Used: React Native, Arduino, Agile

Project Rapid:• Designed and developed a CubeSat with the MiXI (Miniature Xenon Ion) thruster as a propulsion system on our aircraft with a group of 15 people.• Lead a team of software engineers to build the computer system that communicates with various sensors and actuators, and can do task scheduling, data downlink, systems maintenance, and detecting anomalies• Coded a “watchdog” for the flight computer that ensures correct operation of the entire system as well as access to critical features in case of flight computer failure.• Coded the computer to be capable of keeping milli-second-accurate time [+- 0.1s], via an external real-time clock (RTC) and communicate with various sensors and actuators.Tools Used: Python, C++, BeagleBone, Arduino

Project Reach:• Built a CubeSat to transmit live data at an altitude of 30,000 feet. Partner with Rocket Project at UCLA that will fly our CubeSat as a payload on their rocket. • Responsible for writing the code that enables communication between the CubeSat and the ground station.
