Doctor in theoretical chemistry that come from an engineering background of the interdisciplinary field of bioinformatics. During my PhD I foremost studied the function of membrane proteins that transport ions across the membrane and where the opening and closing of the channel is regulated by changes in the electrostatics of the membrane. We used theoretical models describing the interactions of all atoms in these rather large molecular systems and solving them using computational techniques of highly parallel computer code on supercomputers. Since my PhD days I have had the opportunity to work as a health informatician within epidemiology and as a project manager, where we took our research insights to the "market" by creating a cost-effective centralized surveillance system based on secondary usage of health information. During the COVID-19 pandemic I got new exciting, and challenging, tasks to deal with, among others to establish new techniques and routines of using mobility data for evaluation of the public's adherence to recommendations aimed to limit traveling.Today I work as a leader and manager of a unit of ~20 individuals delivering digital solutions to healthcare providers throughout Sweden.
