The phases 9 and 10 of South Pars gas field are designed to produce 50 MMSCM/d of natural gas as well as gas condensate, ethane, butane and propane (LPG) and sulfur. Offshore facilities are two gas production platforms with 24 gas wells, two 32” subsea pipelines for transferring gas to the onshore refinery and two 4” pipelines for transferring glycol. OIEC as the first local contractor awarded an EPC project in South Pars gas field was involved and completed the onshore part of phases 9 & 10 in 2008 that is considered as the beginning of mega projects era for the company.Responsibilities:• Captured cost trends, forecasted ETC (Estimate to Complete) and validated forecasts prepared by others.• Defined WBS (Work Breakdown Structures) and activities lists.• Built and maintained detailed CPM schedules using MSP/P6, including resource loading; performed schedule and cost risk analysis.• Instituted cost management processes and raised accuracy of cost outlook from 70% to 95%.• Compared planned versus incurred and actual costs, detect reasons for variations and recommend corrective actions.• Prepared and formalized workflows for internal processes and procedures; created periodical internal and external status reports, presentations and other ad-hoc reporting deliverables.
