Tools / Technologies Used: HP-UX, C, Shell, cc, acc, gdb, Clearcase / Jazz, Microsoft Office suite, MS Windows XP Worked on a key product of HP, a client of TCS. Developed new features & enhanced operating system HP-UX from 11.31 to 11.41. Resolved bugs in boot processes like init. Fixed bugs in printer subsystem including commands like lp, lpadmin, etc. Fixed bugs in commands like vmstat, diff, sort, mv, grpusrs, etc. Assisted in porting of Mozilla Firefox browser to HP-UX operating system. Analysed the issue, understand customer perspective, understand UNIX standards & then decide whether or how to solve the issue.  Played a key role in the entire SDLC process while fixing the issues. Review the fix, find loopholes in it, thus providing better solutions to the reported customer issue. Detailed documentation on approach towards the solution of the bug & explanation of the code.
