Specifically: • Serve as Chief Scientist for planetary science research, including the study of Mars, Mercury and the Moon. • Supervision, management and mentoring of graduate students and PhD interns that are assigned internal research projects. • Provide direct scientific research to NASA’s Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) program, including the Exoplanet Research Program and the Solar System Observations Program. • Serve as the Lead Educator for NASA’s Mars Student Imaging Project and the Mars Exploration Student Data Team. Both programs consist of analyzing imagery data from Mars, working with other NASA scientists, and analyzing planetary data from instruments currently orbiting Mars. 
 • Coordinate and collaborate research with other STEM scientists and academia. • Provide guest lectures and presentations at local universities, colleges, and astronomy clubs on subjects such as Life in the Universe, Extrasolar Planets, and Astrobiology. 
 • Developed a Mars and Lunar 3D program for local museums, college courses, and astronomy clubs. • Prepare and disseminate technical reports related to Earth and Space sciences. As Director, responsible for: 
 • Fiscal planning and budgeting of educational programs. • Maintaining an annual operating budget of $65,000. 
 • Maintaining and marketing of the Center’s website and social media accounts.
