John Turner is the SVP & Head of Documentaries and Original Content at IMAX Entertainment where he oversees an original slate of feature docs and nonfiction content for the global theatrical and premium narrative space. An Oscar and Emmy-nominated Executive Producer, John previously served as a Development Executive to Netflix Documentary Originals. Among his varied work with Netflix, John created and co-executive produced Dirty Money, the renowned financial crime investigative series produced by Alex Gibney. John's development work has included films and series for A24, Jigsaw, HBO and Davis Guggenheim’s Concordia Studio. From Here to Home, a collaboration John produced between Concordia and the New York Times' OpDocs was nominated for an Academy Award.
