Research and strategic support for primary coalition fighting to protect health care for millions of Americans, preserving and improving the Affordable Care Act and organizing the opposition to the Republican health care agenda.Created detailed fact sheets on every aspect of the ACA and the GOP repeal plans tailored for use at the statewide, House district and local level. Provided research support on health care issues for a variety of progressive campaigns and groups, including drafting ad backups and fact sheets, participating in conference calls and engaging in rapid response research and communication.

Directed the tracking and media monitoring departments, including all hiring and management of 30 staff members in 25 states and managing of a budget of more than $1 million for the 2016 cycle. Implemented rigorous tracker training curriculum for all new staff, resulting in an improvement in staff retention. Coordinated all video research and archiving for rapid response and long term research projects. Oversaw the implementation of a livestreaming program enabling the live internet broadcast of events attended by American Bridge trackers. Gave on the record interviews to local and national news outlets regarding American Bridge’s tracking and video research department.Served as liaison between American Bridge and partner progressive organizations including providing tracking footage and other video resources and delivering trainings on bird dogging politicians.

Conducted opposition research on Americans who travel overseas to promote and lobby for anti-LGBT policies, including public records reviews, tracking, media research and library archive research. Wrote a major report on the Export of Hate and provided creative direction for a multi-platform social media campaign to promote it. Selected and managed contract writers for two other major HRC Global publications. Gave on the record interviews to national, international and local news outlets including National Public Radio and the Daily Beast.Delivered informational talks and research trainings for academic conferences and gatherings of international LGBT activists.

Hired, trained and supervised six staff members tasked with attending and recording over 50 opposition events in seven states. Managed a team of three trackers covering all outside events at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL. Directed equipment and resources to trackers assigned to states and managed the flow of information and video footage to the communications team at OFA and the DNC. Fact checked and approved all talking points and fundraising e-mails for Democratic Party officials.Generated rapid response materials for the DNC communications team, including research reports, candidate schedules and video clips.Managed research on Republican super PACs and outside groups, including both rapid response and detailed analyses of fundraising and messaging.

Initiated, designed and implemented the complete transition of the Secretary’s daily briefing book from paper to digital format for iPad, including developing hardware and software solutions and holding workshops to train staff at HUD and other agencies.Served as advance staff for the Secretary planning events, coordinating with HUD field staff and representatives of outside organizations and managing event logistics.Provided substantive and logistical support for the Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Research, including writing policy memos, developing talking points and conducting background research.Planned and executed the largest ever US delegation to a United Nations World Urban Forum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The delegation included a cabinet secretary, deputy secretary, three assistant secretaries and participants from the White House, State Department and USDA. Traveled to Brazil to support the logistical needs of the Secretary and senior HUD staff.
