Managed and administered a portfolio of roughly 70 grants and grantees representing grassroots community organizations, state coalitions, and national partners covering the South and Western United States. Intensive relationship management, network building, and strengthening strategic alignment between grantees and with a national movement. Supported internal and external work to integrate social determinants within models of value-based care and interprofessional practice. Co-designed new RFP models, managed administration, updating and regular maintenance of online grants management system (Fluxx). Supported the design and implementation of the DQP Grassroots Engagement Initiative, Year 4. Co-wrote multiple abstracts lifting up the value of a grassroots engagement strategy within philanthropy.

Co-authored and directed over $1M in grants and launched results-based accountability model. Co-designed and implemented nonprofit earned-income business model which diversified organizational funding base while greatly increasing sustainability. Lead the design and build of technical assistant and training programs, while securing and managing both fee-for-service contracts and grant funded deliverables. Supervised team of 5, developed strategic programmatic vision and subsequent curricula and resources and authored organizational white papers on age-equity. Co-designed and managed an organizational outcomes-based framework that demonstrated impact within policy and systems-change work.

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area

Co-developed Structure for Youth Track at the National Convention on School-Based Health Care. Reviewed Abstracts, Coordinated Logistics and General Oversight of Youth Track for 25 Youth from across the country. As a result, newly designed Youth Track integrated into National Conference that hosts 500+ people annually.

Statewide, Nc

Developed Multi-Year Plan to organize and activate grassroots groups of youth doing local health care advocacy to increase access. Recruited, Trained and Activated 12 cohorts of Youth Across the State and Developed Youth Advocacy Toolkit. Coordinated over 30 Media Hits, 20+ Local Advocacy Projects, and 2 Presentations at Statewide Conference.

Organized and trained over 20 groups in Eastern NC per year to a total of over 1,500 participants, who were then engaged in doing local advocacy and systems change work. Provided wrap around technical assistance and recruited, hired, and trained a team of peer educators/organizers. As a result of the work that I invested in, significant legislation was passed in North Carolina to institute 100% Tobacco-Free Schools and Smoke-Free Bars and Restaurants.

Managed the vision of a community-owned business through implementation of cooperative buying standards within the largest department in the store. As a result of my work, community stakeholders were consistently engaged while managing a bottom line that was consistently 10%+ above industry standards. Produced 25% of store gross income totaling $4.2M, designed a dual-ownership system between consumer-owners and worker-owners to increase store equity and sustainability.
