I managed the comprehensive procurement and contract management processes for multiple rate contracts and annual maintenance agreements. Leading a collaborative and enthusiastic team, I enhanced regional maintenance support by streamlining procurement procedures and optimizing vendor management strategies. I also organized vendor workshops to expand our supplier base, cultivating enduring partnerships with a network of over 90 vendors. These initiatives were pivotal in ensuring the optimal operational availability of naval assets through efficient maintenance outsourcing practices.

Andaman & Nicobar Region

In my role, I strategically planned, implemented, and audited maintenance schedules for naval assets within the region, driving a comprehensive approach to optimize operational efficiency. The result was a notable increase in operational platform availability, reflecting the effectiveness of our initiatives. Additionally, I developed a forward-looking forecasts to enable advanced planning of maintenance periods, ensuring maximum asset availability. By prioritizing the optimal utilization of repair yard facilities, we maintained a high level of readiness across our assets, enhancing operational effectiveness and mission readiness. I was also responsible for induction of multiple strategic platforms for the Indian Navy.

Leading a 30-person team, I oversaw the maintenance and operation of intricate shipboard systems, encompassing propulsion, power generation, combat systems, communication, and navigation equipment. Through targeted studies on defect patterns and spare utilization, I implemented strategies to enhance the reliability of our equipment, ensuring optimal performance and mission readiness

During my tenure with the Offshore Patrol Vessel, directing a diverse team of over 15 technical personnel in the maintenance and repairs of shipboard equipment. Throughout the two years, I prioritized mission readiness, ensuring that our vessel operated at optimal efficiency levels.Additionally, I had the privilege of participating in significant missions, including representing India at the esteemed 2016 New Zealand fleet review. Moreover, during the challenging circumstances of Cyclone Mora in 2017, we actively engaged in Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, contributing to the unit's commendable efforts recognized by the National Maritime Search and Rescue board.
