David Taylor created PartsCheck when he coupled his passion for innovative IT solutions with his lifetime of experience in the smash repair industry. As a qualified vehicle refinisher, David purchased his first smash repair outlet in 1998 and currently owns three facilities in Brisbane and Ipswich.Upon opening additional outlets didn't take long to realise there had to be a leaner way to do business! David set out working closely with industry IT providers, assisting in the development of systems and programs to improve a workshop’s productivity and profit. Reaping the benefits from these IT solutions, he went on to identify other areas within the business that could do with an innovative overhaul. One key area was parts purchasing, and before too long PartsCheck.com.au was born!Although initially David’s focus was upon improving the profitability, whilst reducing administration within his own company, it soon became evident that PartsCheck could greatly assist, and even revolutionise the parts estimating and ordering process between ALL Repairers and Suppliers. This revelation resulted in the PartsCheck concept inception and development in conjunction with a team of entrepreneurial IT, automotive parts and customer service specialists.
