Thanks for checking out my profile 👋🏾 After years of working in Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding in tech, I founded Parallel Minds; a Neurodiversity consultancy on a mission to build a better future for Neurodivergent people in tech. My "why" is a pretty personal one. I spent the first 25 years of my life not knowing I was Autistic and ADHD. I scraped by in education, but it didn't come without a cost: extreme burnout and rather self-destructive behaviours. The challenges followed me into the workplace, and eventually, I was diagnosed in 2021; the missing piece of the puzzle I never knew I had. Since then I've devoted my career to creating positive change for Neurodivergent people in the workplace. Everything I do is centred on intersectionality because, in the aftermath of my diagnosis, I could barely find any fellow AuDHD women, let alone any AuDHD women of colour to help me find comfort in my experiences. In addition to my work with Parallel Minds, I sit on the board for Manchester Tech Festival, I'm a Community Manager of The Talent Community and I'm an experienced public speaker. Outside of work, I enjoy playing the piano (which I've done since I was 8 years old) 🎹 , cooking recipes from around the world 🌎 or throwing some weights around the gym 🏋🏾 If you're looking for support as an individual or your business needs some Neurodiversity consultancy, please feel free to reach out. Recruitment Marketing PartnerXdesign Nov 2022 - Jan 2024Manchester, England, United KingdomI leveraged my experience as a tech recruiter to build the Recruitment Marketing function at xDesign from scratch. I bridge the gap between Marketing and Talent Acquisition and I'm responsible for all things candidate attraction, employer branding and community engagement. •Completely revamped our job adverts and created guidelines and templates to facilitate our TA's to create their own job adverts across all technical and non-technical roles to a high standard. The new adverts generally resulted in an increase in conversion rate (views:applications) to up 4.5x. •Managed partnerships and sponsorships with organisations like Manchester Tech Festival, MCR DevCon and ReframeWIT. This included selecting and supporting xDesign speakers and maximising the brand exposure opportunities, particularly as we were establishing ourselves in a new region. I started this role in Nov 22' as a 3-month secondment and made the move permanent. -

Our goal is to foster inclusion and belonging through creating a safe space and actively improving our workplace processes and practices for all neurodivergent employees and candidates. Key achievements: •Boosted disclosure of neurodivergent employees through internal educational sessions. •Created a standalone Reasonable Adjustments policy which creates a clear and fair process for requesting adjustments. •Collaborated with Neurobox to design leadership training for our pilot xDLeaders program for existing and future leaders on line managing neurodivergent employees.
