SWISSMED was established in March 2012 and quickly became one of the leading distributors of Ophthalmic medical devices in Asia. The business and its 53 talented employees got acquired in March 2022 by Transmedic.

Early stage business development.

Set up and managed a distributors network in Asia and the Middle-East.Set up a regional office in Singapore.Recruited and build-up teams of sales, marketing and product specialists in China and India and Middle-East. Product trainings and sales skills development of all distributors.Planning and conducting certification courses in the region.Proctoring of new users (Including for subsidiaries in Japan & Australia).Planning and implementing sales support activities: i.e Symposiums, users meetings, practice development workshops.Built up an effective network of reference sites and developed close relationships with key opinion leadersPlanning national and international congresses.P & L responsibilityGenerated sales growth from US$1.5mio in 2005 to US$12.2mio in 2010.
