Management of the strategic and business planning and operations for the Shire of Harvey functions relating to Engineering Infrastructure management. My main responsibilities involve• Undertake investigations into matters relating to the efficient operation of Council's engineering programme, including conceptual design and estimates for various infrastructure projects and the Forward Capital Works plan. • Provide engineering advice on matters such as traffic, drainage, car parking, etc . • Liaise with developers, consultants, contractors and statutory authorities and provide authoritative advice on Council standards, requirements and sound engineering practice. • Together with the Manager of Works and Services, oversee construction Council civil works in accordance with Council standards including quality control and monitoring of safe construction techniques and procedures. • Provide general direction to the Asset Manager Officer to undertake a review the Shire’s Asset Management Plan with recommended improvements. • Assess traffic management plans in accordance with Australia Standards and the MRWA Traffic Management Code of Practice. • Carry out road and drainage designs together with preparation of specification and drawings for projects as required.

Management of strategic and business planning and operations for City of Gosnells functions relating to Traffic Engineering and road Safety. Delivery of capital budget between $1.5 to $3.0 million annually. My main responsibilities involve recommending, pursuing, implementing and evaluating the functional management of traffic and road safety in an efficient and effective manner through civil engineering design, and project management and supports those goals through various funding sources in accordance with City policies, procedures and related legislation.
