Currently on a contract with Elavon as their ETL Administrator for IBM DataStage 7.5, IBM Information Server 8.1 and soon to be IBM Information Server 8.5. The main task of this contract is to setup the IBM Information Server 8.5 environment on new hardware.

- Currently migrating IBM Infosphere DataStage 7.5 programs to IBM Infosphere DataStage 8.5.- Directed the installation of IBM Infosphere DataStage 8.5 on a UNIX Solaris 10 including the resolution of numerous installation issues.- Develop and implement new programming standards to improve ETL performance.- Assign tasks to members of the ETL team.- Mentoring the ETL team members to enhance their skill sets.- Quality assurance of the ETL programs submitted by team members.- Evaluate performance and set goals for the team members.- Serves as a liaison to the reporting team providing both technical and analytical support.- Provides complex identity matching services to the entire Department.- Functions as the backup DBA for the data warehouse.

- Developed an identity matching algorithm that is widely-recognized and utilized by the Department.- Integrated new data sources into the data warehouse.- Analysis and implementation of a high stakes accountability data source.- Assumed tasks that were outsourced to private vendors resulting in a savings of $130,000 per year to the Department.- Point person for DataStage troubleshooting and issue resolution.- Provided DataStage training and mentoring to contractors brought in as part of a staff augmentation engagement.

Florida Department of Education, Education Data Warehouse:- Designed DataStage programming standards for use by the programming team.- Responsible for ensuring that all DataStage and mainframe programs respected the quality and standards requirements.- Functional analyses.- Functioned as the DataStage and performance specialist on the project.- Functioned as lead programmer for the development and implementation of the DOE (Department of Education) data warehouse project.- Developed DataStage programs, mainframe COBOL programs, UNIX KornShell scripts.Ministry of Natural Resources of Quebec:- Mainframe specialist on the project.- Point of contact to resolve mainframe issues.- Developed mainframe COBOL batch and CICS programs.- Designed the system processing architecture allowing the mainframe side of the system to communicate with the Windows side and vice versa.Ministry of Revenue of Quebec:- Programmer/Analyst on the project.- Wrote mainframe and UNIX COBOL programs to add a new data source to an existing data warehouse.- Wrote UNIX scripts to automate manual processes including loading new ORACLE tables and columns in the data dictionary housed on TELERAN ISIGHT software.- Developed the functional test specifications documents and performed tests for one of the new data sources added to the data warehouse.Ministry of Health Care of Quebec:- Programmer/Analyst on the project.- Developed a bench mark to determine whether a multi-platform scheduler met the needs of the Ministry.- Participated in resolving the Y2K bug for the Ministry.
