In the school year 2021-2022, I developed and taught an eight-week learning program 'Research skills' for vwo-4. Students are introduced to the research process and two forms of research: quantitative and qualitative research.From the academic year 2017-2018 onwards I am co-responsible for the quality assurance. In addition, I facilitate focus groups with students and employees in order to understand where the school excels in and what could go better. The outcome of the focus groups are important for the continuous improvement of the quality of our education.In the academic year 2016-2017 my activities were aimed at the supervision and continuous improvement of the quality of processes and education. My main focus was to implement the quality control cycle and to introduce mixed research methods in assessing satisfaction within the school. Therefore, in addition to the existing satisfaction questionnaires, I developed qualitative research methods that provide the ability to gain in depth knowledge. Moreover, I was responsible for the subsidy arrangements that are relevant for our school and at the same time suit our policy developments.

I supported the department manager of the (bilingual) VMBO-t section. My tasks concerned setting up the bilingual education, organizing activities, preparing marketing material and conducting research into the progress of students.

As an independent researcher I work for the municipality of Tilburg in the context of the Tilburg-style Transformation movement. I supervise several projects in the implementation of the fourth generation evaluation approach. This is a science-based approach to collaborative learning. As an independent researcher, I work for Roosendaal municipality on the project Roosendaal Spreekt, Roosendaal Doet (#RSRD, Roosendaal speaks, Roosendaal acts). I guide them in executing the fourth generation evaluation method. This is a scientifically based approach of collaborative learning. At the department of Research & Business Intelligence, I work on the research 'Valuable care in Rotterdam' ('Waardevolle Zorg in Rotterdam'). This study is partly funded by ZonMw, program Ethics and Health. What constitutes good care and what values ​​are underlying it, from different perspectives? The research takes a responsive approach to collaborative learning to find out what really matters to all stakeholders. We use various sources as input for the dialogue, including insights from observational research at Buurtcirkels. These are social networks of people who need guidance in order to live independently. The participants help each other with what they are good at. In this study, we look at the values ​​that emerge in care giving and care relations. In addition to the observational study, 'Valuable Care in Rotterdam' consists of focus group research with employees of the policy department of the Municipality of Rotterdam. In this way we also add the policy staff's perspective on good care.

The new principal would like to get to know the school better by engaging with students and employees. He wants to form a relationship with them, and by doing so understanding where the school excels in and what could go better. In order to achieve this, he will use the focus group method. Preparing, facilitating and analyzing the focus groups were my major activities. In addition, I provided advice in the fields of quality assurance, research and internal communication.

At the department of Research & Business Intelligence I worked on the research project ‘Self-reliance and participation of vulnerable citizens of Rotterdam’. Here, I designed strategies to promote the research findings of the project among the alderman, policy makers, care and voluntary organizations and citizens of Rotterdam. Using the designed strategies, I communicated the findings and recommendations of the research in collaboration with stakeholders.In addition, I worked on the project Samen Gezond Eten en Bewegen (SGEB) in Rotterdam. The aim of this intervention was to promote a healthy lifestyle with regard to nutrition and physical activity among women in underprivileged and multiproblem families. I worked on the process evaluation, in which interviews are the major source of knowledge.

The municipality of Tilburg works on the development of the 'Agenda Sociaal Domein 2017-2022' together with stakeholders. I provided advice for the design of the study and the execution of the meetings with the stakeholders. In addition, I analysed the meetings and reported the findings to the municipality.
