I have been a Broker since 1992, & I hold designations as a GRI (Graduate Realtor's Institute) and a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), designations held by fewer than 7% of all real estate agents nationwide.I have twice been President of the Paso Robles Association of Realtors and was selected as "Realtor of the Year" in 2003 & 2009.I have served as a Director of the California Association of Realtors & was Chairman of the Land Use & Environmental Committee in 2006, Chairman of the Issues Mobilization PAC in 2009, and the Transactions & Regulatory Committee in 2016. I currently serve as an Issues Chair on the Taxation & Finance CommitteeI am known locally for my expertise in agricultural properties and recreational lands around Lakes Nacimiento & San Antonio, and I also am very knowledgeable about the residential housing market in Northern San Luis Obispo & Southern Monterey Counties.I am a native of the Paso Robles area, but have travelled & lived around the world. Paso has been a great place to raise our family, and now is an exciting place to be as the area evolves into a major wine region.

Studios on the Park is a non-profit formed by my wife, Anne Laddon, and myself to promote the development of fine arts in Paso Robles. Studios has created working artists studios in an old auto parts building at 1130 Pine Street across from the downtown City Park

I have represented the Paso Robles Association of Realtors at the State level as a State Director or President for several years. I have chaired several committees and currently serve as the Property Tax Issues Chair on the Taxation & Finance Committee. Locally I have represented Paso Robles on a "Smart Growth" ad hoc committee working to develop guidelines for the County of San Luis Obispo. I also conduct new member orientations for the Paso Robles Association of Realtors with a focus on the Code of Ethics. In 2016 I was the State Director for the newly formed North San Luis Obispo County Association of Realtors, the name of the recently merged Paso Robles and Atascadero Associations

I took my retirement early as many former guests commented! I worked for this company and other river companies from 1974 through 1984 as a guide on the Tuolumne, Stanislaus (now buried by a lake), & American rivers. After California I worked on the Middle Fork & the Main Salmon rivers in Idaho and then in the Grand Canyon for 5 years.

I was in charge of the Non-Judicial Procedures (Article 13 violations) for the ship
