I created a number of printed materials for clients and caregivers, including designing and implementing care plans for clients using MS Word. I recruited, processed applications for employment, including background checks, hired, provided orientation and training, coached, and scheduled caregivers. I was regularly assigned to coordinate services for clients considered “difficult” by other coordinators, as I was able to deal effectively with individuals who had cognitive impairments and/or mental illness. I developed agendas and conducted monthly district meetings for up to 30 employees, and published and distributed a quarterly newsletter. Educated clients regarding locating and hiring in-home caregivers, assisted clients in resolving issues with caregivers, and provided information regarding general resources and programs available to clients. Worked closely with state case managers to ensure state care requirements were met.
