Having gained employment with Classic Fine Foods initially as a delivery driver, a year on I was offered the position of Warehouse & Transport Manager of the West Midlands depot. In this role, I managed the day to day running of the warehouse and transport, including managing stock levels and rotation, and also the onward delivery of goods to our clients using our own fleet and couriers. I was also responsible for placing stock orders with suppliers and preparing for stock take activities.

We provide a specialist steering alignment service to the Heavy Commercial Vehicle aftermarket, serving a client range from owner drivers to large fleet operators, from main dealers to independant repairers, and from tyre manufacturers to insurance assessors. We cover the southern area of Ireland,travelling to our clients premises to carry out steering alignment.

Having seen an opportunity in the markekplace for my skills, I began working as a self employed mechanic, carrying out repairs for owner drivers and fleets in the east Cork, west Waterford area.

I served my apprenticeship as a mechanic with Imokilly Co-op Creamery (now part of Dairygold Co-op). My training comprised of servicing the company fleet and in this capacity, I gained a wide range of experiences. Apart from the normal duties of a mechanic, I also gained experience in electric and argon welding, hydraulic systems for liquid pumping and discharge blowers along with forklift and loader repairs.
