As an engineer working for a variety of different companies in and out of the medical device space, I have acquired extensive product testing and design experience, broad capabilities with the manufacture of products using custom thermoplastics, and proven success working in the fields of Plastics, Finite Element Analysis, Prototyping, Biomechanical Engineering, and Medical Device design.I am passionate about developing products whose purpose is to improve the quality of life for the end-user, especially when that product development allows me to work with novel ideas and products that require well-thought-out testing and design protocols. In my current role, I am part of a Research and Development team that is developing novel prosthetic devices using custom thermoplastics. I enjoy puzzling through the variety of challenges associated with working on something new and untested and have particularly valued the aspects of my current position that allow me to use my self-motivation and entrepreneurial spirit to improve current products and processes. Our team uses a data-based approach to problem-solving, which I consider crucial when working on something that has many unknown variables. I am a firm believer that the most effective teams are comprised of people from diverse backgrounds and roles, and I value my experience working on projects that have benefited from the collaboration and the input of people across company disciplines.
