Now retired - unless someone offers me an interesting Science Curriculum Development Project. Taught for a number of years in a range of schools. moved on to be Science Inspector Adviser for Berkshire for 10 years. Finally became independent consultant specialising in Gifted Ed, Assessment, science curriculum materials and differentiation. Have worked both nationally in UK and internationally and authored and published on the subject of gifted education in science and also co-authored a number of secondary science curriculum materials. Developed and runs a range of CPD courses in science and also works with a number of the UK science learning centres. I am a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts 2010 (FRSA) to 2016.Specialities: Gifted Education especially in science, Differentiation, assessment in science, design of thinking activities for able students, running masterclass activities for students Y5 upwards, curriculum activities in science invloving different context settings.

I also author articles and make presentations or run workshops at Conferences. Over the past 18 years have also worked for a number of high quality providers of Educational training such as SFE (later became part of Tribal), NACE, ASE, Learning Works and Osiris, etc.to provide both focused and bespoke training in education and science education.Retired April 2016

Science Inspector AdvisorBerkshire Lea 1991 - 1998I was responsible for advising the county council and Berkshire schools about developments and initiatives in science education from nursery to 16+. This involved the management of 2 advisory teachers and carrying out a number of local research projects such as education of the More Able Student in Science which resulted in a number of publications of books and articles on the subject.
