The landscape of education has changed and forced everyone to pivot to online learning. This pivot meant using technology as the main source to relay instruction, assessment, and to build a community in a digital world. Technology has been at its greatest use and the potential of it is limitless since every interaction or activity we could do in person can now be completed virtually. Who better understands how people learn than a teacher who can improve the use of Ed-Tech products.As a curriculum specialist, I provide instructional strategies for the universal design of content for adolescent and adult learners enrolled in secondary courses. I have an understanding of best practices in online learning and learner centric environments using learning management systems (LMS). During this role, I have learned that who best knows what technology is useful to learners than the educator themselves. Having hands-on experience with learners makes me a great fit to understand what products educators want and need. During my career I have been part of various companies and worked on multiple research experiences. One of the research experiences includes being a student researcher at the University of Ottawa where I conducted 30 interviews/surveys with 30 K-8 teachers, collected and analyzed data. I defined a research question, devised a research design, analyzed and reported findings in a research paper. I have developed a wide variety of skills from my previous roles and from classes I have taken during my Master of Education.
