Network Engineer
CurrentClient: Cisco> Responsible for Tier III technical support of Information Security technologies providing expert problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner.> Working on Incidents in Checkpoint, Juniper SRX, Juniper Netscreen, Fortinet Firewalls and Tipping Point devices.> Responsible for network security support with incident ownership ensuring proper incident management with service level agreement requirements.> Assisting peer Engineers to troubleshoot issues including firewall failover, power supply failure, disk failure, health check failure, validating SNMP alarms, hardware replacement, high CPU utilization, end user connectivity failure and resolve tickets into remedy tool as per service level agreement.> Ability to quickly understand and triage customer issues, work alone or with other teams to resolve issues in a live environment.> Responsible for data collection of firewall issues as point of contact to the vendor to begin problem investigation/resolution of the issue. For instance, root cause analysis, software bugs, abnormal behavior, advance debug analysis, core dumps, firewall policy installation failure.> Involve in troubleshooting with the whole network team during Network outages to isolate the problem and work towards providing root cause.> Worked on Wireshark and TCPDump to analyze and capture traffic flow.> Create Methods of Procedure for production network changes by conferring with vendors and peers.> Reviewing, analyzing and creating Network Change Documents and accordingly implementing all changes in the network during maintenance window.> Responsible for managing Juniper SRX firewalls consisting of SRX 3560, 1400, 550 using CLI and/or Junos Space Security Director for management.> Work with onsite Engineers and guide them with the process to replace the faulty equipment.> Involved in weekly Juniper/Netscreen IDP Signature updates to latest version in APAC, AMRS and EMEA regions.
