I work as an EMT in Santa Clara County and also in San Diego County when at college.

I started as a mentee from September 2022 to June 2023 and then decided to become a mentor for other students. I was a Mentor to 3 lower classmen who are also students at UCSD. I get to help them with any school issues and help them make plans for upper division courses as well as post-grad.

I am a Teaching Assistant for the Political Science Department under the supervision of Professor Nicky Gonzalez-Yuen. I TA for the class POLI 1 or American Government and Politics. I have 15 of my own students. I lead and guide them through the class. I help teach and also grade. I also help train new TAs.

I got this internship through the UCDC program. The project I was working on was titled Project: The Emergence of the Black Cop, Washington, D.C. I worked on this research project with Professor Gray from UC Merced.I delved into uncovering the rich history of black police officers in Washington, D.C. This opportunity led me to assume the role of a researcher at the National Archives and the Library of Congress, where I meticulously photographed historical personnel records at the National Archives Museum. Employing cutting-edge AI software, I efficiently sorted through the files and transformed them into a coherent and usable dataset.My focus within this research initiative was to understand the timing of the entry of black individuals into the city's police force and trace their evolution within the organization. This experience not only deepened my understanding of historical narratives but also sharpened my research and data analysis skills, making a meaningful contribution to the documentation of the city's social history.

I got this internship through the UCDC Program. I worked on the curriculum for students. I went to schools held workshops and delivered the curriculum to students to help broaden their learning.

Worked on an internship with the United States Military and the United States Department of Defense. My team and I worked for the Department of Defense on an innovation project. I was a part of the Basecamp Team. We visited and worked for the military base MCAS Miramar, did base tours and outreach, spoke and connected with soldiers, and facilitated a presentation for problem sponsors and high-ranked military officials.

I specifically worked on the Racial Justice Team. I helped work on political campaigns to help better the community. We worked on police on college campus projects. We worked to have better equality for students of color on De Anza's college campus.

I actively contributed to a meaningful cause by assisting in the preparation of food boxes destined for distribution to various centers. These boxes played a vital role in providing sustenance to thousands of families in need. Engaging in regular shifts a couple of times a week, I dedicated my time to this valuable initiative. Each session focused on making food boxes spanned two hours, while distribution shifts, crucial to the outreach efforts, varied in duration, ranging from three to five hours. This experience allowed me to directly impact and support numerous families through my commitment to community service.

I served as a dedicated hospital volunteer, managing various front desks and telephones in hospital lobbies. I took on the responsibility of coordinating hospital escort schedules and ensuring efficient workflow. Greeting and guiding patients to the appropriate medical departments, I aimed to create a positive and welcoming environment. Also, I went beyond my duties by serving refreshments to patients and their families, contributing to a caring atmosphere. This experience not only allowed me to support the well-being of patients but also honed my interpersonal and organizational skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
