The focus of my research is teaching students how to read and date ancient Greek manuscripts. For my interdisciplinary dissertation, I conducted manuscript research at Oxford's Bodleian Library, as well as the Cambridge University Library, via Tyndale House. Based on my dissertation, I have a patent-pending for software, called Omnitext, which I recently integrated with the INTF's NTVMR to help students learn how to read mss with Omnitext correlations (Omnitext.org). I have also transcribed Greek minuscule mss for the Greek Paul Project (via the Institut für Neutestamentliche Textforschung, Münster, Germany).Courses taught in-person & online, using Canvas, Blackboard, & Blackbaud:1. Seminar: Artificial Intelligence & Ethics2. Greek Grammar I & II3. Intermediate Greek4. Advanced Greek Exegesis5. Textual Criticism & Paleography6. Biblical Foundations, survey7. Theological Research & Writing (Students choose a research focus from the following topics: intertextuality, ANE social settings, literary analysis of Scripture, Greek manuscripts, church history, science and religion, missions, spiritual disciplines, early heresies and creeds/councils, & second temple period philosophies & political systems.)8. Rhetoric: Purpose & Vocation9. Writing Workshops10. RA supervisor for the Birmingham Theological JournalIn 2024, my research will focus on a forthcoming paper (MOTB, NOLA) to be given & published in 2025, "The Rise & Fall of Ligatures & Selected Paratextual Features of Greek Minuscule Manuscripts." Also, I took "Teaching with AI" in conjunction with Samford/Auburn. In 2023, I contributed Greek ms research on James for the THGNT 2nd ed. Also, I had a chapter published in Pen, Print, & Pixels, "Following the Evidence: Modeling Manuscript Domains for Objective Dating." In addition, I founded the BTJ as general editor (btswritingcenter.net/btj).Since 2022, Greek & Classics students have added to their research portfolios by performing Omnitext correlations on the NTVMR to learn to read & date NT Greek mss. Participants thus far include Samford (undergrad), BTS (grad), NOBTS (PhD), & INTF postdoc. In 2022, I presented my research at the International SBL & the CSNTM Text & Manuscript Conferences. Also, I established the BTS Research & Writing Center. In 2021, Omnitext provided evidence for re-dating ms GA 35 on the Liste. Previously, I held IT positions from webmaster to senior technical architect & taught women's ministry classes for AL WMU.For professional development conferences, papers, & projects, see the "Experience" section below.
