Patricia dedicated several years to clinical research within the medical device sector and CRO’s, gaining expertise in a wide array of clinical research and development facets. Her journey in the industry was preceded by nearly a decade of academic work as a PhD student, post-doctoral fellow and scientific researcher in recognised academic environments in the Netherlands, Norway, Canada and Australia. Throughout her academic and industry tenure, Patricia always enjoyed the aspects of writing and broadening of scientific knowledge. In 2009, she decided to start as a professional scientific/medical writer and founded CtrlP Scientific Writing. Patricia has a high interest in and proven ability to translate complex scientific information into accessible content for the appropriate target audiences. Writing is her forte. Her services are tailored to life sciences companies and organisations, specialising in clinical documentation, including clinical study reports, protocols, investigator brochures, regulatory submission documents, and clinical evaluation plans/reports. She also offers expertise in scientific documentation, such as manuscripts, abstracts, and posters. In 2023, Patricia expanded her professional horizon by stepping into the role of content developer and co-owner at ACT VR-supported Training Programs. The VR-supported program 'Room for Innovation' integrates evidence-based creative thinking techniques with advanced Virtual Reality technology to effectively lead teams through the process of finding innovative solutions to complex problems. This program not only streamlines the problem-solving process but also fosters a sustainable culture of innovation within teams/organisations.
