As the Executive Vice President Americas Region of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Association (IFATCA), I represent and support the interests and needs of over 50,000 air traffic controllers in the Americas. I have over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, starting as an air traffic controller at Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center, where I worked for 21 years before becoming the Executive Vice President of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) for 12 years. Appointed to the Women in Aviation Advisory Board established in the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018. In my current and previous roles, I have been a strong advocate for aviation safety, labor rights, and diversity and inclusion. I have served on various boards, committees, and panels at the national and international levels, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and standards for air traffic management, drone integration, and women's participation in aviation. I have also testified before Congress on several occasions, highlighting the challenges and opportunities facing the aviation sector. My mission is to promote the highest level of professionalism and excellence among air traffic controllers and to foster collaboration and innovation across the aviation community.
