Retired Executive Chairman of ADAMAS Consulting, an independent consulting firm based in the UK, USA and India providing GCP, GMP, GLP and GVP Quality Assurance services and specialised training to the healthcare industry.Pharmaceutical industry career started in 1985 as a Development Pharmacist with Merck, Sharp and Dohme. In 1987 moved career direction into Clinical Research & Development as a European Clinical Trials Co-ordinator with Eli Lilly. Later moved to Sandoz as a CRA in the Clinical Research Unit London, which was responsible for early stage clinical trials. In 1991 promoted to Head of the Clinical Research Unit, reporting to global Clinical Development in Basle. Following a restructuring of Clinical Development in 1992, asked to establish an International Clinical Quality Assurance department within Sandoz. Following the merger with Ciba-Geigy in 1996, became the Head of GCPQA, Europe. Left Novartis in 1997 to establish ADAMAS Consulting.Qualifications include Batchelors degree in Pharmacy from London University and a PhD in Biopharmaceutics from Nottingham University. Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Science from Cardiff University. A Fellow of the British Association of Research Quality Assurance and formerly an active member of the GCP Committee for 12 years.
