I have more than 15 years experience as a technical project manager and engineer. I have been responsible for defining design standards and providing technical review and coordination for planning, preliminary and final design, construction staging and maintenance of traffic for adjacent and joint development construction projects at transit stations. I designed, developed plans and managed the construction, rehabilitation and operation of transit joint development projects, parking structures, surface parking lots, pedestrian, bicycle, and intermodal access facilities, which includes stations and access roadways, at transit stations throughout the region. I believe in smart technology solutions and strive to be an innovative project manager and deliverer. My most recent accomplishment was leading a sustainable LED lighting project for 28 parking structures consisting of the installation of more than 13,000 light fixtures in parking structures in daily operation. The project reduced lighting energy costs by 60%. The project won the 2015 International Parking Institute Award for New Sustainable Parking and Transportation Facilities Excellence. Previously, I led a project that automated the parking access and revenue control for Metro's 28 parking structures and 32 surface parking lots in the District of Columbia, State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia. All parking facilities are now remotely monitored and controlled from a single centralized parking operations control center. This innovative technology solution saved Metro more than $4M annually in operating costs.
