Currently based within a Contact centre in North Manchester, I handle a wide variety of generic housing service enquiries in order to provide excellent customer service to tenants and professionals calling from organisations across the group structure.

In this role I was the first point of contact for customers accessing the full range of Contour homes’ social housing services. Frequently this involved arranging repairs, resolving arrears and liaising with Neighbourhood staff to communicate accurate information on customer's behalf.

West Salford

Based within a Communities team, I was responsible for the delivery of customer involvement and community development. This included the establishment of community groups and partnerships with external service-providers. I was also the team’s representative on a corporate equality working group and significantly contributed to the formation of the Trust’s ‘single equality scheme’ and its implementation.

By assisting with the implementation a comprehensive consultation project plan, I contributed to the successful transfer of west Salford Council homes to a new Housing Trust. Working within the project team, I was directly involved with the development of new housing and tenant empowerment policies enabling the housing trust to register with the Housing Corporation.

Originally, a University student placement, I progressed to full-time employment as a Tenant Participation Officer for a newly established Arm's Length Management Organisation. My role involved developing the tenant participation service, training Tenants/Residents' Associations and initiating projects between partner agencies and local communities.
