Product Manager / Customer Experience Lead
During this tenure, I played in dual role. For the product manager role, my focus was on supporting our on demand video platform. This was set to be a 3 month temporary coverage but turned into a 6 month coverage due to resourcing constraints on the team. While supporting the day to day needs for customers, a major focus during this coverage was overseeing a difficult upgrade project that had already been late by 12 months before I took on the coverage. We managed to complete the upgrade project and I was able to hand off the product manager to a permanent replacement. Outside of ensuring the health of the platform, I also managed the budget needs for the platform, determined the roadmap for the next year, and improved the working process with our vendor.I also was asked to do product management coverage for our Wiki platform until a permanent replacement could be hired. During this time I also mentored new product managers both inside and outside my immediate group on how to perform and succeed in the role of a product manager. The other role that I split my time with was the Customer Experience Lead. We looked across the suite of 10 products our team supported and determined best strategies for training, marketing and comms to lead to better adoption of our solutions. I would organize the work for our team and execute on individual pieces as a team member. This role is what I intended to be full time on but product management coverage was needed part time. The intention is to go back to this role.Along with these two roles, I have been working on building on leadership skills to eventually look at managing people. Working with my manager, I have been responsible for managing the rotation engineers that worked with our group, handling the hiring process for new team members, mentoring our newer product managers and systems analysts, and developing strategies for how our team would work and collaborate.
Systems Analyst

I would do project management, customer engagements, systems analysis & reporting, user requirements derivation, direct support, business process improvement, consulting, design, system configuration, training, TCM, communications and even simple development. While my role did encompass a lot of small activities, my main role entailed customer engagement management, product creation, and acting in a consulting role about the products I supported. In my customer engagement role, I helped to make teams more effective with the collaboration products our organization provided and helped to resolve very complex collaboration needs.Product creation was another role that I played in. I played as the Product Owner in a Scrum team to develop an expertise finding solution. During my time in the expertise finding solution, I also was part of I was part of a User-Experience apprenticeship where I was certified as a Interaction Designer and a Usability Tester. I used these capabilities in the development of the product.I spent most of 2014 working on delivering a social collaboration capability for Intel. In this process, I led a team on the adoption strategies and launch campaign for how the Enterprise would adopt this new tool.
Sharepoint Product Manager
As a Product Owner, it was my duty to see that the environments I supported were maintained well and issues were resolved quickly. If there were any catastrophic issues with the environment, I would be the point person to help coordinate the right engineers, support personnel, and communication folks. My day to day responsibilities: - Handling escalated issues that did not get solved in the first two layers of support- Making decisions about how we move forward with product enhancements- Running small projects to help improve the product or add new capabilities
