My extensive my volunteer works with KaBOOM! has allowed me to continually develop a personal drive that honed the best characteristics I bring to every job and project; professionalism, safety, and enjoyment to enrich the play experience for the children in the community. Creating a safe play space for the community is the absolute most important and valued experience for everyone involved in these projects. While being able to take lead in community projects is very fun, leading with a professional approach has provided me opportunities to use the projects as a teaching tool so all understand correct construction techniques, methodical project progression and safety in all phases. Being able to lead groups has allowed me to broaden my skill set to adapt to all levels of workers and fill in knowledge gaps. Very often, I have shown the ability to be adaptable to meet customer requests; always within safety guidelines. These interactions and adjustments to plans has taught me flexibility and developed detailed communication skills that I have enjoyed using in my personal life as well. Along with being professional and flexible, I also bring a level of enthusiasm to my daily task list. Always forward thinking, I can see the bigger picture of the project end goal and never hesitate to make necessary sacrifices in order to obtain the goal.
